Rubavu Cross-border ECD Centre

Rubavu Cross-Border ECD centre is one of the six planned centres being established in five districts across the country by June 2020 through partnership with a local NGO ADEPE. The districts include Gasabo, Rwamagana, Nyarugenge, Nyamasheke and Rusizi. Key expected results  include:

1. A minimum of 120 children accessing supervised care and integrated ECD services at this centre representing 16.6 % of all children targeted through this approach;
2. A total of 75 pregnant and breast-feeding mothers accessing ECD services (reached through parenting programme);
3. About 250 families with children (0-3 years) reached with behaviour change communication messages on responsive caregiving- (nutrition, WASH, child health and nurturing care); and
4. Four caregivers trained to provide quality ECD & family services.
